Default Possible silly question re: Robby/IceShark battery cables

So I've got a set of cables from Robby. I got them almost a year ago, just now getting around to installing them.

It includes the "supplemental" 4awg battery to fuse box wire.

Right now, there is this "bundle" of ~5 smaller gauge wires running from the battery to the fuse box. Is this supplemental wire intended to replace those 5 smaller wires, or run in addition to?

My guess/assumption is that it's to replace them, and then I just need to add a sort of distribution block under the fusebox to connect it to the various places on the box itself. But figured I'd check first, since it's just as easy for me to just replace the 5 smaller wires with fresh (but identical) wires... though then I'm not quite sure what to do/how/why to route this supplemental 4awg wire.

I PM'd Robby but he's not here all that often and figure the collective here would probably know the answer.

Ah! Ok, will do. Robby's didn't come with any kind of instructions (aside from this, it's pretty straightforward). I'll do a google.

I was going to use a hammer with a hockey puck as a template. That should work fine.

Wow, I wanted to do this procedure. Until I read the procedure.

Very thorough technical write-up. I wish there was an easier, less thorough approach. I'm scared, now.

its was pretty easy. the Drilling was the hard part and only because you had to be very very careful.
