Still recommend calling Kelly Moss. I believe Price Cobb is in charge of parts.

Porsche part # for 968 squirters is 944.101.018.01
Last time I bought them in Dec. 2010 from Sunset, they were $25.90/ 17.88 List / Net. They had to be ordered from Germany. I believe they are $28.75 List now.

The block should be drilled so the squirter points towards the exhaust side of the piston, which varies slightly depending on if it is a 2 or 4 valve application.

For those who may be interested, I have a brand new set of Mahle 104.5mm 2 valve turbo pistons for sale, and I have two S2 blocks available.

Thanks, just what I needed. I searched trough 968 PET and it does not mention squirters at all..

Chris White has KMR squirters or are these all different?

I will need a set of pistons like yours, but as Ive just bought 2.7 block and 968 crank, cant afford them atm. Have to sell my 101mm turbo mahles first.

Default oil squirt jets

Hi, I don't know if this will be of any help to you, but when I built my turbo S2 engine I used an oil jet from a Ford Duratec engine. It is a complete item which has a built in 35 psi spring. I drilled the block through the main bearing journal at a 15 degree angle, you tap the hole and screw them. Worked perfect and they are very cheap. If your interested I can get you the part number.

Cheers Tim

Please do post those part numbers. We're already throwing Chevy and Mitsubishi parts in our engine, let's keep the theme running

If you have them, please do post, and if you have any picture of placement, I would appreciate that too.

I will check the price for oe parts, but if they are too expensive I will use alternative.

Given the massive windage problems would there not be enough oil swirling around in the sump to make squirters superfluous?

Constant flow has cooling effect, small drops not so much. Atleast I think so. There must be a good reason since porsche felt it was necessary for 968..

True, but the later 2.7L and 3L blocks have windage ports....perhaps that is why? The reason I ask is I have machine windage ports into my 2.5L block. Perhaps I should seriously consider squirters to compensate?

I wish the original knowledge behind those changes would come out of the archives..

The only 2.7 block I have seen up close didn't have windage ports.
