John, I know you said the Motronic editor may not be too cost effective for most, but I know a few people, me included, that want that product in a big way. The alternatives are the $2200 SDS or the $3000+ TEC 3.

Please keep plugging away at a package for it, and if you can price it somewhere between $1000 and $2000, you'd have a market.

Fast951,

What's the advantage of the Motronic display/editor over the Piggyback? It sounds like the same thing, no?

The PiggyBack displays some of the variables and allows you to modify fuel/timing based on what's already on the chip.
The Motronic Monitor displays additional values that cannot be accessed externally...

Before releasing or commiting to release the Motronic Editor, there must be a market for it... As of now, I just don't see it... Also, if someone can go stand alone for $2K (including labor), then that's a great price...

With so many new products in the work to be released soon, I haven't had a chance to update the website...
You know, I'll bet there are a few computer savvy folks on this board that would be willing to code HTML and update your website - in exchange for parts, discounts, etc... HINT, HINT

TWO SUGGESTIONS, JOHN!!

1. it would be nice to have a bolt on, no flange, no adapter, no weld, dual port WG for around $225-250. Deltagates are $230 some places but that's before welding and adapting.

2. PRETTY. Clearly we all know the wonderful space below the radio for boost gauge, control, etc. but also consider PULLING OUT THE ASHTRAY, then putting gauges, meters, etc there. create a removeable black cover.

just a thought.

John, wouldn't the montronic editor make the piggyback redundant? Does it just come down to the relative production costs of the two alternatives?
The monotronic editor seems a nicer solution to me, no tapping wires, plug and play, and as you say full access to all variables for logging / diagnostics / display.

Just another thumbs up on the data monitoring, even if a lap top is necessary (infact, I assume this would keep the costs down) but seeing everything the motronic sees would ve very valuable when troubleshooting.

I would be interested, but price is a big, big concern for me...

Anyway, good luck.
