Anyone ever install your own valve guides? I checked out my head today and I've got too much play in the exhaust guides, Who's done them before, What tips/tricks can you offer. Thanks guys

Just take it to a machinist. The guides are brass . The head is aluminum. If you haven't rebuilt an aluminum head ( guides specifically) you will end up damaging something. Have you ever extracted valve guides before ?

Yeah I figured, I've done everything else's but guides... And frankly it looks sketchy with the ceramic liners right next to it.... I'm a big DIU guy but maybe something's are better left to a pro
