I did a 951 trans swap on my '83 with a v8...I was going to swap the gears with my old NA trans but decided against it for the moment. Instead of selling the whole trans I can sell the long 5th gear set and keep the end cap to mill down in the future for a reinforcement plate while being able to keep the car on the road. First $125 gets it shipped to their door. Great for you 951 guys that take long trips or spend a good amount of time on the highway.

What would this achieve? Guessing it would bring the rpm down for related speed.

Should have hopped on this as I want to go to an S2 tranny and think this may help on the highway. t3rra - yep, will bring the rpm's down when cruising on the highway.

You cannot swap fifth gear sets between an eight valve aspiro and the 944S/2/Turbo with machine shop work. They measure the same but are lubricated differently. Have posted details in the past.
