Awesome job Patrick! I was keeping up with the results on Facebook. Way to represent!
Thanks for that. :-) How do you do a screen shot of a page? When I tried to copy and paste it went all wonky. Do you just use the 'Print Screen' button and paste?

Not from our car. I got a little bit of hand held videocam which isn't great but I think Sean / JET951 might have a little bit of in car video during the practice session that shows a little bit of our car. btw, great job to Sean yesterday for a good improvement of his PB in a car that would weigh 200kgs more than mine!

Sean has some in car video from yesterday & he will put it up in the next day or so , I took some nice shots of Pats 951 & we will put these up as well .

As for how Pats 951 looked and sounded on the track , it was fantastic , all the pit crews of the GT3's just stopped what they were doing & just watching Pats car go down the main straight & into corner 1, and to think this car secured the best time on the day on "R" specs , while the RSR & some other GT3's were on slicks

This car has even more potential , very impressive , congratulations to Patrick & to Paul Mc Kinnon , Paul fabricated / created this car for Pat , he is not only a talented fabricator but a great driver to boot

Can not wait to see more of it

Regards

Thanks Bruce. Very kind of you to say those nice words. I have to say thankyou to both you and Sean for helping this build along the way, at times quite substantially. Always willing to lend a hand and encouraging words. Very much appreciated. :-)

Thanks guys. Means a lot to have all my friends witness this car.

To make the fastest car in the club has been a bit of a driving force behind getting to this point. This pic is a good example of what I'm talking about. I was watching this from the roof. Paul pulled out on the 'warmed' GT2 at the top of the straight. That car has plenty of power so it took quite a while for him to nose past with our lower power setting. He ducked in between the GT2 and the 956 replica coming into T1 at a fair pace. By T2 he'd overtaken the 956 and went onto record a 1:03.8 on battered medium R specs. Quite happy was I!!!

I flounced around for a 1:07.5...slowly getting used to this car and doing that thing called driving again. Still tippy toeing through T1 though!

Thanks to Bruce Buchanan for a great shot!!!

That's confused me then Bruce? How did Sean find it to upload it?

Here's some video from inside Sean's car during the practice session that morning. From about the 2.26 min mark you can see some of our car.

Patrick - I don't know what to say - I'm speechless at the performance you've extracted from this platform. It seems that only fully "space-framed" 951's would be comparable to your machine & that then raises the the question (as with any silhouette-car) - when does it cease to be a 951 & become loosely-based 951 derivative.

All the best to you as you put these babies firmly back on the Porsche map!

Tim

Well there's still Tony G and Duke's cars that should be quicker than mine but I'm very happy with what we've achieved so far Tim. Hopefully we can see something special from your car too. :-)
