Turbo is looking great! But.. The angle in which the outlet is placed, will it not create too much turbulence?
BTW, i'm curious what my T6262 will do, it has the 62mm wheels on both sides!

Well done Patrick. You did the Porsche world proud out there. Its pretty amazing how fast the evo's are; they can get on the gas so early.
Id still take rear wheel drive any day for the fun factor we have!

Bas, the angle was set by the mount and also trying to match some of the previous piping to a degree. We do suffer for space under our hoods. Think your turbo will spool before you start the motor!
Thanks Mark. The Evos really are amazing and the awd helps them in ways we can't fathom. This allows them to run greater power than us and still make it around corners...a somewhat crucial aspect of racing!
In many cases they also run quite a bit more boost than us. We competed with only 18psi. We had fueling issues that created a miss and then the turbo went. All in all, a good time considering. Am very hopeful that we might see you this Saturday. :-)

Enjoy the track on Saturday. No go for me - Im off to the beach for the weekend. Pretty much having a 'cruising year off' from pushing myself on track, as have been at it pretty hard for the last 5 or so. The funny thing (for a track guy) is I even spent so long cleaning the GT2 it won its concourse class on the weekend.
I'll be back out and running hard in the 968CS next season, see you then Patrick. I guess I'd better watch my mirrors given your times in the new toy!

And i think mine will spool really soon than.. It's way bigger than the standard turbo but that's the whole idea..

I hope so Shawn. Was initially going for the GTX3576 w 1.06 housing but they didn't have any. So we went with what I've listed. Not sure if the .82 housing will suffer any choke but I figure it's better to start at this size and move up if needed. If we went to the 1.06 on the GTX3582 we may only guess if the .82 housing might be better?

I think you've made a great choice in turbos!
I've noticed with my GTX turbo that it doesn't really like low boost to much. under 10 psi it builds boost slow but once you start passing 14 psi it turns into a rocket ship and really it's instant boost.
Nice runs too. Me and a friend where about to catch a plane up but had to many birthdays to attend friday and saturday.
Looks like you had some fun out there, Good luck for the next time attack!

From what I can see on the respective turbo map, this turbo wants at least 20psi. Having said that, I'm pretty crap at reading these compressor maps but that's the feedback I received also.

That's not bad Patrick.. 20psi.. I think it's about time you get to the 24.. You need more power and we need to see more dyno sheets!
@Pauly, what are the specs on your turbo?

Actually I'm trying to figure out where we were getting 1bar boost on the old turbo. Trying to convert the Kpa to psi but it doesn't seem to add up quite right?
