Air/Oil Separator (i.e. Deaerator) for 944T w/Wet Sump?
Now that I've missed out on most all of this year's racing season thanks to a spun #2 bearing in the 944T, I've been sitting down contemplating ways to make the oiling system as bulletproof as possible, as I'm sure many others have. We've thrown various band-aids at the problem including oil pan baffling/LR pickup mod (engine failed even with this), crank work (cross-drill, custom grind for Clevite bearings), Accusump, fancy anti-foaming oil, etc., short of a dry sump (not class legal), hopefully all of this will help.
I'm considering adding an inline air oil separator as well, but don't know who still makes them, and whether they have any merit. Kokeln used to make a kit, link HERE, but I don't believe it's still in production by Kokeln/Vision/whoever. I hear that Milledge used to make a similar kit, but I haven't been able to get in touch to see if Jon still makes something similar.
Does anyone know who still makes these air/oil separators, and do they actually work?
Figure I'll give this engine another shot, and if things go sour, there are other solutions to consider *cough* LS swap *cough*.
FWIW, #2 bearing spun on a lap where I was pretty aggressive with the curbing in a tight turn, so my guess is that failure was caused by starvation (hopefully Accusump will help this) or oil being aerated (was running Mobil 1 at the time, hopefully better oil and maybe air oil separator will help). Bearings had ~5 hours on them and oil was just below full mark. Had run basically the same setup for three prior seasons without any trouble, still trying to figure out exactly what the cause was.

Burning Brakes
This is what I'm planning to do once my car is up an running and I have some more time on my hands. https://rennlist.com/forums/10404710-post1.html
Before that I will simply replace the plastic windage tray with an improved aluminium version with better scrapers and a baffled sump.
