Angry Turn signal not working

Hey gang,

Any thoughts on why my turn signals are not working, its not the fuses from what I can tell.

I am having some battery problems at the moment as in it wont hold a full charge, could that be effecting them? My ! attention light is blazing read, and the battery is right at 12 V.

Thanks for any help,

Vincent.

Not sure if low voltage affects turn signals. But a good start would be to get your battery tested, and replaced if necessary.

Sounds like the "flasher" relay. Should be easily replaceable with a generic VW part. Check your owner's manual for the relay that governs the blinkers.

If your car is an early 944 (boxy dashboard), the relays are located in the driver side footwell, below the dash to the left.

If your car is a late 944 (oval dashboard), the relays are located in the fuse and relay box, under the hood, behind the firewall, driver side.

Turk ... if you flip the fuse cover over it will give you the socket that the square relay sits in.

Get a generic VW replacement relay. Any decent import auto parts store should have one. Should not exceed $25. Or you can order one from a vendor in the Rennlist Sponsors section.
