I was breaking down the stuff to get my intake off so I can do my vacuum lines/venturi delete. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
This was in the hard pipe between the intercooler and the throttle body.

The TB silicone pipe...

and the exit port pipe of the intercooler...

Smells like fuel, looks like oil. I'm afraid to ask for a diagnosis.

Intercooler flush? I don't know that I've heard of such a thing. I've never had a turbo car, so I know they are oil fed, but didn't know if oil in the intake was a normal result of their age.
yes, original k26 turbo.

Is the wastegate on the 87 951 a dual vacuum port design or single? I'm looking at vacuum diagrams to bring this back to stock, and I can't see the wastegate at the moment.
I have some pictures of the jboot and a 3 port valve involved in the vacuum system that has a port broken (don't know what the part is, i've found it on a diagram called "timing valve for charging pressure"). This made the PO route the vacuum system in a whole different way, so really I'm trying to put this thing back to stock now.. not just replace some hoses.

i've done a bunch more research since I asked this, and once again I've learned 2 things.
1. This subject has come up a lot, and the answer is the same.
2. It's normal. Perform a leak down and compression test. I also need a new fuel enrichment valve and a new jboot. Which has brought me to looking at ways to incorporate my current autothority maf with a smaller intake cone and tubing (it's a 4in intake I think

YUP its normal, install a catch can, Get a LR dual port waste gate and MBC, do your vaccum lines and Venturi delete, ditch the cycling valve And youll be back up and running like a champ
