It has been a while since posting but I'm in need of a DME and KLR. I have tracked my most recent no spark issue to the DME. I drove it to work, parked and 10 minutes later I tried to start with no success. I have tried all the other possibilities except the DME/KLR and I don't have spares to check it.
So IF you have a set and want to sell them please let me know.

Why do you think a new KLR is necessary?
Have you checked out these guys? If I were to do this again, I would use them. At least then you have a warranty.

For an occasional no start tied to the DME (and not the harness or relay etc), you might start by checking for cracked solder joints pretty closely.

I have done a pretty good inspection for cracked solder joints and the harness is solid with a bung of LR replacement looms. So I'm not sure if the KLR is bad as well but the computers are usually sold as a set. It is also not a bad idea to have a spare.
I will check out the ecu doctors.

It's easy enough of a check to do if you haven't already...
You can rule out the KLR by unplugging it and shorting (on the KLR connector) pin #16 and pin #9. If you get a fire, the KLR or KLR chip are problematic. If you do not get spark, then the problem is in the DME.
