Default N/A LS7..... $23k - Pump Gas > 730HP/570TQ at the crank!

Yeah......

Gotta love it. On pump gas... normally aspirated LS7, sold for $23k complete.... 730Hp, 570Tq.

And it will do it all day long.

If I stay GM powered and run GT1... this is the engine I'm buying (which is a straight bolt in).

Gotta love American Muscle.

That sure looks to be a very stout motor. So is this an LS7 motor that has been worked over by Schwartz?
What's the cubic capacity? Lot of hp out of an n/a motor.

not bad!

This is why i'm not a fan of GM engines though.. 105 hp/L for that engine and a gt3 RS engine (997 mk2) is 118 hp/L

What about the valve seats in the LS7's? Those seem to be an issue.

Rebuild schedule and cost are dramatically different, making the less efficient engine much more affordable in the long run.

The problem with the GT3 RS & Cup engines is that they have to rev it so high to make that power that the service life goes way down.

They are good for 30 track hours before a rebuild. And assuming you don't blow it up... it's $22k to rebuild it.

High RPMs kill engines fast.

BTW... this is exactly why I'm building the car I'm building rather than buying a new Cup Car.

I don't know if the stock LS7 valve seats are an issue or not... No matter I'm sure the valve seats aren't stock LS7 valve seats. The ports and valves have to be considerably bigger to make that kind of power.

Yawn...how high in the rpm range does it make 118hp/liter....nuff said. The beauty of the small block V8 is that it makes USABLE power all through the rev range. Not having to rev the **** out of it to go fast increases the longevity of the motor, and is arguably more efficient.

yes but the GT3 motor wont hold up as well, and it wont have the torque to go along with the HP. Torque moves cars.

It's pretty easy to make big numbers out of the LSx series.
