Default 993 vs 951 calipers

I just bought these set of 993 calipers for my 89 951.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...r#ht_385wt_792

The part numbers are 993.351.421.00 and 993.351.422.00

Will these fit on my 951 with the same brackets for 993 big reds?
Are there any other modifications needed to make them fit?

Thanks in advance.

Jones

I did not click the link or checked the part numbers but

Unless those are C4S or 993 tt calipers regular 993's are the same calipers as your 89 T

The 993 has the calipers in front of the rotor eye, swap the feed /bleed and they will fit

Pole Position, thank you. But, it appears I'll need a bracket to mount the fronts. The caliper bolts on 951 go in horizontally, where as the 993 caliper bolts go in vertically...

If your car is indeed a 89 turbo your front calipers bolt from the top the rears from the side.

Yup, it seems that they are regular 993 calipers, you spent 1100 bucks in calipers similar to the ones you have in your car.

Poor bastard. More money than sense. He just paid $1100 for almost no improvement. From memory stock turbo S front discs are 298mm. I think stock 993 front discs are 304mm. The stock 993 calipers are usually painted black from factory, hence the 'baby blacks' moniker.

I bet it cost him more than 1100.

OTOH, he found out who his friends are. THAT is some valuable information.

P.S. I was actually very impressed with the handling of my newly acquired Golf Turbo S at a recent test day at Brands Hatch... Run 55s all day long...
