Default Intake port analysis

I also posted this in the NA section, but thought this would be good here, too.

I took a silicone cast of the intake port so I can analyze what it looks like and try to visualize the air flow as the valve starts opening.

Would love to see a comparable cast from another head that's had a lot of machining to optimize it.

Nice work as always Van. A warning that many gave me was that changing the port shape based on a "common sense" approach can have an adverse effect as the fluid dynamics are fairly complex. Supposedly there is a port change that results in much better flow but I had trouble getting specifics. I always assumed that it had to do with the short turn radius but not sure about that now. May have more to do with opening the bowl and shaping the intake floor. Some input from Michael Mount:

Also a 2.7 inlet, and turbo and 2.7 exhaust ports.
