Default Head mod to fit 3.0 block?

Is there any info on how to modify/weld the 951 head to fit a 3.0L block of the S2?

There is reference in Clarks garage regarding this. "It involves welding a boss to the cooling passage at the front of the 951 cylinder head and then machining a cooling passage to mate with the 3.0 litre block."

But there is never a proper topic about just this idea.. I've having the same problem with a lot of things i want to know that i have to search through entire topics to see what the actual problem/solution is!
Maybe it's about time we start creating topics for this kind of information to help people who just need this information.. Or we just make them look through all topics..

It's pretty easy - all you have to do is learn how to weld old oil soaked aluminum castings, then learn some machining skills to make the new coolant 'ear' and then practice that so you don't warp the head.....

Or just get a 2.7 head or go 16v or sleeve a 2.5 block so it can run 104mm bores like a 3.0.

I have a 2.7 liter head that I just had Southland Racing install Beryllium seats that I am not going to use and may want to sell. I am going with a 4V 968 head for this NA Race application.
