Those look like originals.

And I just realized you're in Lemont. I'm about an hour from you... I have a couple friends who live in Darien. One owns the CarsPlus at 63rd/Cass.

Pretty sure it's been stated here that the Welt chips are good for ~14psi. I used to have a set in my car, and while, at the time, I didn't have an aftermarket boost gauge, 14psi is probably about right (based, completely unscientifically, on seat-of-the-pants feel after I added an MBC and boost gauge). I certainly wouldn't run any more than that with those chips. Remember, with the stock AFM setup and every AFM chipset out there (except for the Rogue A-Tune), the computer is blind to boost pressure, it simply *assumes*. The chips are coded with timing and fueling assuming 14psi. You turn it up more than that you will have too much timing and not enough fuel.

If you go REALLY lean, the car will start to sputter and pop. That could've been the breaking up you felt. WAY too much boost if the car is expecting 14psi.

Turn the boost down and keep it down. You might be ok. Car runs fine otherwise?

If you want a new set of wires... I have a new-in-box set. I forgot I had a set in stock and ordered another set a couple weeks ago. If you want 'em, let me know... half off of whatever retail price you find.

I'm not actively trying to sell them so I guess when you find yourself in the market, shoot me a PM and I'll let you know if I still have 'em kicking around.

The stock k26/6 will not get 20 psi to redline. It can boost to 20 psi at 3500 rpm but at redline you wont see more then 13psi

You're really wasting your time pushing that turbo that far. They wont make more then ~300 rwhp. at 18psi

You're just generating more hot air and pushing the engine to work harder for no gain.
