yikes...steamrollers, and I think the 285's on my 951 look huge.

and regarding weight, probably lighter than most realize. A 3LT Grand Sport like mine has a curb weight of only 3311lbs (about 300-400 lbs. heavier than my 951). The lightweight and great traction allows the car to 1/4 mile with much highre horsepower (i.e. supercharged cars) at 12.2@117

Yup, going for the pro-street look...and to balance out potential over steer due to going stiffer at the rears. 315mm is the max that is physically possible with minor work and perfect ET. It's been my personal goal to squeeze them in there for years. Most do this using 17s...I might be the only one on here using 18s on stock turbo S fenders.

I guess 3300 lbs or so is not that bad if you can consistently run low 12s...modern suspension helps in how the car is putting down the power. As soon as I replaced that old set of konis with the v3s, I immediately notice better traction and the car puts down the power better, like sooner and no more excessive squat.

Have you run the GS with traction control off---just to see how she handles?

I haven't driven a Vette, but I have really been looking at a newer SRT Challenger. Newer cars are nice because they require no work. Just drive and have a good time.

Dark side my ***. That is an awesome automobile that few Porsches can match. Great choice.

Just being able to drive is a big thought for me, plus the girlfrined is very comfy and if there are issues while trasveling they should be easy to deal with.

I've driven the SRT8's (the whole Chrysler line up short of the Viper). Great looking cars with decent power and they would be great for cross country highway trips.

However...I do not like the feel of the suspension on the Challenger. Not really good for handling or drag racing. Of course these things can be changed

got her aligned and tossed the keys to my son so he could take his girl to Cars and Coffee. I couldn't go...I have to pay for my car fetish (I've been dumping some money into my 00' Cherokee 4x4 also)!

Awesome car! I secretly love Corvettes, I just don't know if I could ever bring myself to being labeled as a "vette guy"

well...I have been pointing out that I still plan to keep my 951 at this point

And this would be a good time to point out that the 951 paved the way with the front engine, rear trans nearly 50/50 weight distribution thing!!!

Yeah you got some 951 stuff in here. It just seems like a thread for your vette, which is a bad a5s ride
