I removed the cam tower to install the single piece header. The Lindsey header fit very well after I drilled out all of the holes in the head flange. A couple of pictures...

Sorry to hear you had to drill out the flange holes to get it to line up, I didn't have that complication with mine. I used a jack and a 2x4 under the car to apply a constant downward force on the crossover pipe while I installed the header, so I had the room I needed to line up the flange to the head. I used the 2x4 as a lever - one end was wedged up above the passenger side of the crossover, the other end had upward force with the jack. I can't remember what I used as the center pivot point, might have been the oil pan. I didn't have to move the crossover much, maybe a half-inch down at the most.
