How much Psi on 93 Octane
Hey guys I'm sure this has been covered but I didn't see it when I searched. So how much psi can you run if injectors and maf aren't an issue? My mods are in my sig if needed.

As logical as that question sounds, it's kind of like asking how much bacon can you eat before having a heart attack. Lots of factors in play, and boost/bacon is only one. But, since that's not helpful, 15psi on 93 octane is a good rule of thumb with a safe tune and healthy motor. I'm not familiar with c-tune and whether its maps are user or Josh generated, but if the latter you may want to pose your question to Josh. Otherwise, a wideband, EGT sensor, and knock display are your best bet.

I run 18 on 91 but I have tuned my car to run rich, on 100 octane I run 23.

Thank you everyone for your wisdom. I think I'll get me a knock counter and proceed from there, I typically like around 15 so be safe.
Also you can never have too much bacon, if the heart attack comes that means you just eat faster

17.5 was too much yesterday.....
Great timing on the question. Well, 17.5 on 93 Octane was too much yesterday. DE at Lime Rock Park. 3rd session. Head gasket went.
Wide Fire gasket, lasted 12 DE events (I don't drive on street much).
No knock counter, so what else has been going on in there is a mystery. Running 951 tune from tuner... Vitesse setup. I don't mess with it. AFR's run a bit rich at this boost level which has made me feel better.
There never is a right answer to these questions of life... only what works for you. You could run stock, live conservatively, take no chances, and get hit by a bus.

What were your a/f ratios before the blown gasket, also widefire hg is not better than stock, no extra protection.
