Boost gauge mount on steering column cover
Spent a long time looking for a gauge mount that I could bolt onto the steering column cover that only required drilling a hole for the mount and no additional fabrication. I've seen several other posts with very nice installs, but required more fab work. Found this VUMAXX universal gauge holder for 52 mm gauges that egauges.com sells works perfectly. I had to slot my original mounting hole so the mount would not rub the momo steering wheel adapter. Also had to grind down the bolt head, so the cover fit flush. Other than that, it was a smooth install. Recommend the VUMAXX! No affiliation, but just what I was looking for. Could even put a wideband on the left side to make a nice matching pair of gauges.

I really wanted to put my VDO mechanical boost gauge in that location, but it is heavy metal. Felt that it would flex the steering column cover to much. The little gauge mount arm kind of acts like a lever. The AEM gauge is very small, light weight and plastic. This solution seems to work best for light weight gauges in my opinion.
Previously, I had a hard time glancing down to read my VDO gauge when it was in the console below the radio when I was getting on the boost. Much better to have boost gauge in the view of my gauge cluster. I can actually see the boost when I have my foot down now.

Awesome, I was just pulling up the old 'mickey mouse' fab threads the other day to try and mimmic. this saves me a ton of time! Thanks!
Just ordered two! I'll try and shoot some pictures when I get the Zeitronx multi gauges mounted.

Supachink - Did you get the dual gauge setup finished?
I want to order 2 myself for Boost and AFR, but I was concerned about interference while driving.
Eric-Any comments or feedback after driving with the setup?

I really like it a lot! Boost right where I can see it. Looks pretty tough. Looks much better in person than my washed out looking photos taken under fluorescent garage lights. Thought about taking some better pictures later. Was worried the gauge cup mount would vibrate, but it's pretty solid with the light weight AEM gauge. Best aftermarket setup that I could come up with to get the boost gauge in the view of my gauge cluster.

Haven't gotten a chance to setup the dual gauges, I did get the pods, my only gripe is that I wish they were a little bit shorter in depth, since im using the Zeitronix ZR-2 multigauge, i dont have the need for the extra depth of the pod, other than that it looks like it will fit great

Very neat! I would do it, but for mt 951 i'm keeping a stock-ish approach.
I was looking for RHD A pillar pods also because i wanted to keep the pocket under the HU. I'm pretty sure any gauge above the highest point on the factory dashboard is illegal.

Nice job. I have two gauges mounted on my A pillar and three at the center console. When I go full cage I will need to move the ones on my A pillar so thanks for sharing the info. I will probably go with what you did.
