possible to fix this bumper?
i can't seem to find a new bumper. so i thought i might try fixing this one
is it possible? even if i can't get it to look perfect again i'd be ok with that. i'd just like to try something
also what would i need to do to fix it?
im assuming regular bondo would just crack
thanks for any help

bondo will fill the hole but you have to keep @ 60mph at all times to make it hardly noticeable

typically on urethane bumpers you'll use a different type of body filler not found in most auto part stores. Stuff isn't cheap either, you usually find it at auto-body suppliers like Dupont and so fourth.

i have been looking for a bumper for several months now with no luck. the only ones i seem to find are ones selling for around $500. These things seem to go very quick
and thanks. i will look into the flex filler.
not looking for a perfect fix unless thats possible. just something for now until i find a used bumper at a good price

Yes bumper is polyurethane, a flex filler for plastics is best. You can use bondo and it will do alright due to where your damage is but I still suggest the flex one. Sand the area and remove paint around the damage then do a med grit sanding on the damaged area and fill with the flex filler then sand with med grit to fine maybe 120, 220,400 and then prime and paint.

I used 3M products to repair the three torn bolt holes above each bumper side marker. Also cut damaged rear bumper side covers up to fill the side marker and headlight washer holes.
If the bumper front side is completely worn through or even close, I would use the mesh and backside filler for strength/ support. You could cut and contour a flexible patch on the front side then fill and sculpt etc...

I have a red front bumper back home in Norcal (30 min past Sac), I'll have my dad check the condition I know it does not have any damage, but I'll have him check the paint condition though. I believe I met with you in Sonoma before to sell you Koni's?
