Homerj it sounds like you are pressurizing your crankcase if more boost is causing you to leak oil.

its what i was thinking. if i can solve that problem only 1 left and thats the clutch. put a southbend clutch in and when downshifting now i get a really bad chatter in rear end. hoping its a broken tranny mount?

Thats possible, but it could also be the nature of the more aggressive clutch and the way you are driving it. Is it a 6 puck by chance, or a very aggressive material? Is it broken in atleast a few thousand miles? My spec stage 2 isnt that aggressive compared to some clutches guys here run, and it will chatter badly on a poorly rev matched downshift ( think shake the whole car bad), and that is with a solid trans mount. Are you rev matching well? FYI I went to the solid mount because my factory rubber mount was completely destroyed, causing me to break several CV joints and shear off several CV bolts. It was one of the best mods I ever did to the car, totally changed the way the car shifted, the whole car just feels way more solid. I like my semi-solid engine mounts too, no NVH complaints here on a DD car with 300 lb springs.

it wasnt a six puck clutch. it was one of their rebuilt clutches but much more aggressive than stock they said. i do notice now it chatters on up-shift and down shift generally in third.

I just bought the duralast sw560 temp sensor to do this. It has a lot more threads than the stock one, so doesn't go in all the way. Should I use some sort of thread sealant, and if so what?

Don't change your turbo without getting DME and KLR chips for your car. Or you will run the engine lean and blow a head gasket. Now your about to spend some $! And you thought it was easy didn't you? Don't lie. But for real don't run that turbo without changing the chips in the DME and KLR. They need to have the fuel timing mapped for the higher flow that the K27 dishes out.

What the...? That's completely out of the blue! What would make you think I'm installing a k27/8 without having other proper mods and without doing my homework? Back to my original simple question...

Should I use any kind of thread sealant for this temp sensor, since it has longer threads than the original and doesn't go in all the way?

Oh sorry for that. Was just making sure. And I didn't read that long expensive list of mods you have there before posting. Also couldn't you just use Teflon tape? And maybe a stack of aluminum crush washers to take up the space? Just a thought. Could you post a photo?

I feel silly now. The sensor was so tight I thought I had hit the end of the threads and it couldn't go in anymore. I bought a high-temp automotive thread sealant and it acted like a lube too, because with it on it went all the way in without using any more force. so all's good now.
