what's it like to drive a 951?

Over 90F here in the So Cal deserts. Not sure that's a good thing... After many, many years of ownership, my car is finally at the point of being able to daily drive it and in the shape I THOUGHT I had purchased it in. I've always had to be careful taking a left turn from a stop because of tire breakaway in 1st. Been daily driving it for a few weeks now after replacing the head gasket & going over the vacuum system. Is it just me or does it seem like things get 'settled in' driving after a repair? It's been breaking away seemingly easier than normal in 1st, and cruising around this weekend, without trying I swear (i.e. really not getting into it too much), its still breaking away after shifting into 2nd. Tires are still good, just seems to be running nice finally. Anyway, those are my thoughts from the peanut gallery. I feel sorry for you guys, but you don't have to put up with 120F+ in the summer...

I can't even break my snow tires loose (225 in the rear), and my car is in good shape!
You guys either run pretty weak rubber or have crummy/gravel roads, or are dumping the clutch a little bit?

think the traction debate comes down more to suspension setup vs. tires on 951's, soft-squat prone setups hook up great while more track-oriented 'stiff' setups spin easier...less weight transfer

Weather is back in the 60's here but with very high winds, so I guess I'm in the 'no driving the 951' boat too for a few days...

WTF, I've driven my 951 in the VA snow on all seasons and I think once on RS3s. I'm waiting on parts for my other car, so the 951 has been getting extra duty the past couple weeks.
