My inspiration is coming from the guys below... I will also be installed the BF fender flairs and rockers when I have the car painted (that's if BF ever answer my email as I am trying to place an order) but retaining the stock nose like 333.
Dubai944 (silver / gray)
333pg333 (all black)
In regards to black and red there are not many shades I would choose, however, there are many shades of Silver / gray that I like.
What about 2 tone? Or is that just a bad bad idea!
On the BF site they have a red car with black fender flares.... Dubai944 has 2 tones of silver, 1 on the car and 1 for the BF fender flares.
Thoughts?

Is this a street car, or a track car? Honestly, I didn't paint mine 2 tone because it was, at the time, to be a street car, and I didn't want to look like a douche. A track car, OTOH, is another matter entirely. Look up the Lowenbrau 962 for inspiration. I know of a 944 Turbo that was painted like that, and was beautiful - white on top of dark blue (the line followed the body line at the top, rather than the middle, so the very ends of the headlamp doors were blue), with a thin gold line where they met. That was gorgeous. But again, I'd never do that on a street car.

Street car... Well I certainly don't want to be Mr'Douche so I think I will leave that idea in the parts bin.
So back to original choices... but leaning towards some form of silver, black as a second and red as a third choice.

Although I am a Brit and grew up in Europe I am not sure I am brave enough for Turkish Blue.. yowza!
It does look sharp, however, I am just to old to look cool in a car that colour.... maybe 20 years ago.

I have zermatt silver and glacier blue which is really silver and very rare. I would go for the glacier blue, you will like it. However, as somebody else mentioned, what about door trim and engine bay, is it still black?

Yah I actually love the Glacier Blue... really considering this colour. Can you post a pic to let me take a look at what a 951 looks like, I have only seen this colour on 911's and a 957.
My engine bay and all interior metal is still black.

How can you even seriously consider red, most 944s out there are red. I wish my car was any color but red.
Silver
Honestly if I was going through the trouble of painting I'd do something different from your options. Dark green looks cool.

Something worth mentioning, Glacier Blue is almost impossible to color match similar to Pearl colors. I had the front bumper cover resprayed at a very distinguished shop in San Jose. He has been painting & racing Porsche's for 35 years. He brought out the Glasurit rep for an entire day just trying to match the paint, after his painter with 20 years experience could not match it. Please note, in California they must use the new POS water based system, which further complicated things. They never got it totally perfect (I am a picky bastard), so I got them to blend into both fenders and the hood for free. It is not noticeable now, for most people. Somebody who really knows alot about body work and resprays will be able to tell from 2 feet, but it is a clean quality job. After the clear bra, it is very hard difficult to tell.
