Hi folks,
Anybody know the exact size/part number/whatever for the LR steam vent fittings?
I've had the LR steam vent on my car for 2 years. Noticed when I had it apart this past winter that I had a little dribble coming out of the fitting that's screwed into the head, right at the seam where the part you push on (to release the tube) meets the fitting itself.
I *hoped* that perhaps just the tube wiggled out a bit. Got the car back together and fired it up this morning (woo-hoo!) and I still have a leak there. I'm just going to replace the fitting.
Figured, it's Saturday morning, I might have luck finding this fitting locally (vs. waiting to Monday to call LR, waiting to Weds for it to get here, and waiting until NEXT weekend to swap it out).

Don't know the part, but try pulling the hose and cutting half an inch off with a nice new square end. Sometimes the hose end gets a little too roughed up to seal well.

I made my own kit(2nd one I've done), 1/4"NPT 90* barb-end fitting into head, 1/4"(IIRC) rubber line into 1/4" T fitting in rad vent line, real cheap and easy

I was having internet issues at home shortly after I posted this - I see my last response never actually made it. Thanks for the help, everybody. Yet another example of why RL rocks. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I did a quick lookup on McMaster-Carr's site (thanks for the PM'd suggestion, evil944t), found the fitting. They have a warehouse about an hour from me and were open until 2pm. Called them up, ordered it over the phone, told them I'd pick it up, confirmed the address... and off I went.
An hour and 20 minutes later, I arrived... only to find out that the girl on the phone who took my order screwed it up, and didn't mark it "SATURDAY" pickup. So it wasn't ready, told me it was too late to do anything about it, and I'd have to come back Monday. Argh. So I canceled the order. I'll either go the Home Depot route, or just order it again and have it shipped.

So for those who do a search in the future (looking for the same stuff I am, to replace a piece of an existing LR kit):
51495K219 - Nickel-plated brass for 1/4 tubeing X 1/8 npt male pipe 90
51495K192 - Nickel-plated brass for 1/4 tubeing X 1/8 npt male pipe

I have the same problem as you, my fittings is leaking after 1 year.

I don´t think the o-ring inside the fittings like the evans cooling i´m using so i´m going to change all to fittings without o-ring and a locking nut instead

I ordered another fitting direectly from LR. Only cost a few $ and saved me the headache of running around and hoping to find something that works.
Mine wasn't leaking but had been lost by a machine shop when I had the head pressure-tested.
