Default Vacuum lines question

I just bought a Lindsey vacuum line kit, but after looking at their diagram for a 86 single port waste gate and then texasblakes how to, I'm finding that my hoses are routed just a tad different. Does it matter that my car is in California as far as smog goes, or should I just go with Lindsey's diagrams?

The previous owner gutted the interior and just threw it together as a track car, so I feel I can't trust everything he did. It's clear the lines have been replaced before. For example the Lindsey diagram shows a line from the reservoir directly to the banjo bolt, where as mine goes from the firewall nipple to the reservoir, then t's over to the big white T off of the brake booster.

Before I start cutting I want to be very clear...thanks
