I have found a supplier for ball joint boots that fit the aluminium control arm ball joints. As far as I can tell, this is the same boot that is supplied in most of the ball joint kits out there. I found this by googling the part number on my old boots that came with a rebuild kit some years ago. $4 ea is pretty cheap, but shipping to Oz is a little steep at $35 for an $8 order!

Can anyone send me a pair by USPS First Class Mail international? Postage is about $5 this way.

I still have some of those polyurethane ones here left over from before we switched to the rubber ones with clips. I can send you a set or two just for whatever shipping costs if you like.

Thanks, but I managed to pick up some rubber ones with spring type bands locally - it is a generic part also fits the beetle lol. $5 for 2. Perfect fit - will see how it hold up.
