Not trying to start an arguement I just know it's not that unrealistic to be driving that quick there.

I do agree though that the video does not give the appearance of speed.

If you drive 200kmh, you are passing 98% of all traffic.

On the A5 the other day, I was passed ONCE in about 300km, and I was drving 180-200kmh.

I have been passed by cars going nearly 300kmh but it is VERY VERY VERY rare.

Most "fast" cars are limited to 250kmh. Below that, most cars dont have the power to go more than 180-200kmh.

And that bike was not going 300kmh. That looked a little over 200kmh with how fast the passing was. The trucks move at 80kmh.

If you drive at 240-250kmh, you are driving VERY fast on any autobahn.

Oh, and BTW, I live very near the A861, A98 and A5.

What you say about the speed and cars is very true in the autobahn. In Europe most of the cars have lower cc motors and majority of them are diesel. You actually have a lot of cars with 1.6 engines.

But that motorcycle should do 299kmh and I think it's limited(USA 186 mph).

Keep in mind, speedo error is non-linear.

Bikes speedos generally are pretty optimistic.

And by law, car speedos must show a higher speed than actual. And the higher you go, the more error.

Audis I have driven have generally shown 215kmh on the speedo, but 200 on GPS.

Yes. They are limited to 300kmh, but they will probably read quite a bit higher. I know my busa reads high (compared to roadside radar that I have seen).

1.6L is big.

In Germany there are big price differences above and below 74kw (100ps).

Yeah, I believe you. The last time I was at KMM I was so busy that I didn't have a chance to see the facility. But I believe they test them in Japan and not in Nebraska.

The last time I crossed the Autobahn we had a Passat 1.6. I think that's only for gasoline cars though, since majority of the diesel is 1.6 and up. We backed off last year from a BMW 530d to a 520d just because of the CO2 overcharge.

Let me restate it then.
Obviously people that have traveled there tend to exagerate about the speeds people travel. You live there so I believe what you have clearly stated.

If one wanted to drive that fast there is no speed limit stoping you.

I think you miss understood my last statement so I will word it differently.

The bike did not appear anywhere near as fast as the speedo was saying. Under 200 is more likely.

those two appeared to me to be traveling well over 200 kph. I would not doubt that 300 kph was possible. How fast was I going in this video? It is hard to gauge exact speeds at times

After looking at the video You can see that that bike shows 299 in 6th gear with the rpm gauge all the way to the right. That bike is definately doing close to 300 kph. Is the reading accurate not sure. So that is one Audi for sure.

It was going over 200kmh. Look at how long between exit markers (look at about 47 seconds). Exit markers are 100m apart.

Except that you get a feeling by how fast the dashed center lines are moving, side markers, 80kmh trucks, and exit markers. Your video has no reference points.

Yes I agree he is going faster than 200. Sorry I'm just talking about the appearance to me.
I'm guessing it's a go pro. When I would ride down the Airstrip on my ZX9R things looked much faster than what the go-pro image provides.

Standing in the pits at the old CMRA track in Calgary bikes would pass us at about 130mph. They would seem like they were traveling faster.....again all I am talking about is appearances.

My friend was racing a 2004 ZX10R putting down 170hp with work done. I am very familiar with the ZX10R performance. I am a huge fan of the ZX10 and the Aprilia RSV4. My next bike will be one or the other.

Anyhow
