Really, the wooshing noise has been with the car ever since I put the new turbo on as of last summer. I just never had the time to work on it until now because I'm still in college, and my studies (unfortunately) have to take precedence over the car. the fluttering noise is more recent - I first noticed it after a few high boost runs to make sure the MBC was set to the right pressure. Now I hear the fluttering even when its not up high in boost. Is it possible that the MBC could be making the fluttering noise? I went back and sealed all the MBC ports but it didn't seem to make a difference.

Are you running a factory re-circ valve?

I'm running the exact same turbo, 26-6 cheater from Evergreen. It was always quiet with the stock air box setup. Its ungodly loud with the MAF.

I've got the Forge valve from LR, I'll try to post all my car's specs in my sig - still figuring that stuff out

I'm investigating that though, because I'm really not sure what else would cause a fluttering sound like what im getting other than the MBC.

Same as me. I run a Lindsey Club Gate BOV and stock boost control.

Heres a video, The wooshing sound wasn't as apparent today, the only change I made was to reverse the BOV a la other thread. It was still present at lower speeds though, just too quiet to get on film - other days it has been much louder.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIks-...ature=youtu.be

The fluttering is still somewhat quiet in the video, but it is alarmingly loud in person.

I hope this can help get to the bottom of this!! I want a normal sounding car again that I can floor without worrying.

you keep describing the sound as a fluttering type noise.. unlikely, but could it possibly be compressor surge?

Hey, I've always said I'm running a 26-6, you never asked any follow-up questions!

I honestly don't hear it in the video... If your AFR's are good I wouldn't worry too much
