I have Recaro Speed seats in mine. No more sliding around. Though now my wife complains they are too low, so she sits on a pool floatie when she AX's

Are you looking to get fixed bucket racing seats?

For the most part, any will fit the 951, but you have to get the correct, readily available, adapters. These can either bolt the seat into a fixed position or use a slider to move the seat for/aft.

For the seats themselves, in addition to different feature options, there are different shapes among the various models. I ended up getting some Cobra Imola's because they fit my back well. I had also sat in several other seats from inexpensive Kirky aluminum seats (which you probably would not want to use for a street driven car) to some of Sparco's pricier seats. In the end the Imola's fit me better.
I would suggest you ask if you can sit in some of the other cars at the AX.

First off, where are you guys finding these women who autox?? I keep looking, but I can't find that particular anomaly.

Second, fortysixandtwo pretty much hit it on the head. I still have stock seats in my 951 but I went through all of this with my Alfa, and most seats would fit in it. Trust me, if seats fit in the Alfa, they fit in the 951. Just sit in a few seats to find what you like. I tend to prefer Cobra, Sparco and the occasional OMP to other seats I've sat in, but you may well find you like something else. I don't know about where you're at, but there are several shops around here that carry a pretty wide selection of seats, and have quite a few on display that you can try out.

And thirdly, A good seat makes all the difference in the world!! I did a couple of DE's in my Alfa with the stock seat in it and it was absolutely exhausting... and so much effort was wasted trying to keep myself in the seat that I was being pretty sloppy by the end of the day. Picked up a Sparco bucket and the world changed... so much easier to be precise, so much less strain on the body.. And, FWIW, I think it's a lot more comfortable just in general than the factory Porsche seats.

Where are you located? I recommend you find a local speed shop that has seats you can sit in to see what fits.

Budget also plays a role here... you'll find racing seats from $400 to $1,400.

I had these in my 944 for a little and my girlfriend(5 feet tall 100 pounds) Like them alot. They also make the adaptors to fit right into the 944 with sliders. Best thing I liked about them was you could run both stock belts and 5/6 point belts as well. I got them from Jegs Racing. The price went up on them since I bought them.. I think I paid and $200 each in 2009.
