back in 2007 it was the SFR stage II headers and SFR exhaust system that powered the lartmobile I couldn't have been any happier.

I purchased the cat for the 3" SFR exhaust system. Had it on the car for seven months and the catalyst came apart and plugged. I contacted Tim and he offered me a replacement at his cost plus shipping. I mentioned it was a Magnaflow and had a lifetime replacement warranty, but he (as the seller) needed to honor it...and he has never returned my calls or emails since!
I fabricated my own cat using the Magnaflow Spun catalyst designed for this application...and I couldn't be happier!

Whats peoples recent experience with Speed Force racing? Have they corrected their previous mistakes? Considering them for a full engine rebuild and upgrade for a 944 turbo.

I bought Stage 1 headers 2 yrs ago. Tim told me the 321 SS would actually run cooler than 304 coated for the same $. I still don't know if they are actually 321 but I just had them installed in June 2020 and had to be customized. the holes for the studs were to small in diameter and one of the runners was off by like 3 degree's at the head.

I bought their Tial 38mm kit back in 2008. The adapter plates didn't fit great, and angled the top of the waste gate too close to the torque tube. After a few years of the engine torquing or whatever, the top port on the waste gate got destroyed from rubbing on the torque tube. Turned it into a giant oval shape. I have been running single port ever since 😢

I have bought a few products from them back in 2009-2011. All had good fitment but i found it annying that the flange on their catback exhaust was made with a mild steel flange and welded inn with 309 fillet wire to bond with the 304 tubing.. The square flange is really rusted now. Same goes for the wastgate adapter plates mild steel mixed with stainless hardware andstainless wastgate flanges. Seem like they have zero understanding of how Galvanic corrosion works!
Their bolt om FMIC was a paint to install and i have yet to see someone installing one with out allot of modification to either bumpers or bumperbar .
Their stuff worked but the "wizzardry" welding quality was nothing like people were telling me.

Similar terrible experience with SFR. Months of waiting for stuff to ship, then Tim would ship the wrong parts, which I have to pay to get across the border and then send back. The stuff that did arrive was poorly welded and the wrong size. Every excuse in the book for why it was taking so long. I had to deal with my credit card company to get my money back. Will never deal with them again.

I got a turbo from them recently, quality is excellent though they and the company I bought through were HORRIBLE on communication and SLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW on shipping, took 8+ weeks.

I got a Tial 38 from Tim a few years ago. Perfect fit. It works a lot better then the other option. Definably the best wastegate for a 944. I don't think 944's are his priority anymore and let's be honest, the business case for 944's is practically non existent anymore. He had to move on to other cars. I think he produces in "batches" which is why it takes so long. He's one hell of a fabricator according to my Porsche shop, but I feel this reputation was probably made 20 years ago. I seriously doubt he is the one actually making the products anymore. I know what you are saying though. When you pay for something you want it right but with this car there are a lot of "not exactly fitting" or "not exactly working" offerings out there. For example, I had fitting issues with a Fabspeed exhaust. The wastegate connection was too small. It had to go back. They fixed of course, but you would think something that expensive from a reputable company would fit the first time. This is one of the reasons I finally went to Corvettes. There's a tone of stuff and it all fits.

I ordered a v-band 3" downpipe. This took many months of waiting and many excuses from Tim about why it was taking so long. I also got saddled with the cost of importing this thing. It's not 3", it's not V-band, you can see the poor quality yourself. Tim has used that excuse about how 944's aren't a big enough market, but honestly SFR should pull out of the market if this is how they are going to build stuff.
