Default Strut mounts

Will the 87 Strut mounts/bearings work on a 86 951?

Personally, I don't think they are - at least for what new ones cost. The standard version is $486.50/ea and the M030 version is $1289.50/ea (on Pelican).

I went with the '86 style on my '87. The replacement mount for those are around $100/ea (for OE). I have polyurethane inserts for them too that I've yet to install.

If you can find good used ones, then go for it. I went through two sets from eBay and finally gave up. If only I knew of a good source for used parts...

There is definitively a guy that will sell you anything from awesome suspension parts, brakes components here are some fine examples

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-924-...04cfda&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-944-...item2323c6fc9d

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-944-...item2578108a92

he even offers high performance parts

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-951-...item256719b2d1

and another seller which is a VERY picky seller doesn't do business with just anybody a weirdo who still play with die cast cars

The ebay seller using the 944online name IS NOT the gent you can count on. Ian Riley owns 944online located in Florida. You can count on his business ethics and for great auto parts NEW and Used. Check out the link below.

Are you sure it's not just 2 different brands or something? I didn't think there was a different mount for M030. Paragon lists the same mount ($441.90) for all late turbos, including '89 (which is M030). I just put them on my 89...

That said if I had an early car I would not deliberately seek out the late mounts! They would have to be 5 times better to be worth it.

951-343-018-04 is the standard mount.
951-343-018-30 is the M030 mount.

They can be interchanged, but the M030 is a harder durometer. A pair of standard mounts for $883.80 is still ludicrous!
