I was wondering what the biggest you can bore/stroke a 2.5L 944 engine? Also 944 2.7L, 944 S2, and 968 use the same block*, how big can you bore and stroke this block?

you don't want to bore out the standard block, the sleeves will be to thin..
unless you use DArton MID wet sleeves and you can go 3.2 with the S2 engine.

IICR there's a thread with a 3.4L build. not sure where it is though. in rennlist obviously. i did a quick search and no luck.

refresh951 is doing over 102mm bore with dry sleeves on a 2.5L block (I think) to get 3.1L and porsche968uk.co.uk says that the 944 2.7L and 944 S2 has 104mm bore...

That's sleeved though. you never mentioned anything to do with sleeves

Not sure what the biggest sleeved bore would be, my 2.5 block is 106 mm dry sleeved, has held up for 10 years and nearly 100k street/track miles

Don't have the answer to that but can't be much left. I would not bore that large again, there were a handful of these big bore's built around the same time, best of my knowledge mine is the only one left running.
