Default Advice on Strange Behavior

My 951 has been in storage for 2 years. I pulled it out in July 2012 and had the narrow band O2 sensor, speed and reference sensors, DME coolant temperature sensor, DME relay and spark plugs replaced. After I used up the old gas and replaced it with new fuel, it ran well. 14.7 A/F non-boost and 12.5 under boost (19 PSI max). I have a LR MAF with Mafterburner. The voltage regulator is putting out low voltage but the battery stays charged. Until recently, I only drove it in the daytime. The lowest temperature was 70 degrees.

I started the car last week on 45 degree night and it would not idle. It pulsated until I got it to the quarter mark on the temperture guage. When I drove it, the A/F was 10.0 to 11.5 and the DME/KLR were clicking like mad. The lights were on and dim. The battery stayed at full charge.

Any ideas on what is causing this? Could temperature be an issue? Could voltage be an issue? Is there anything else I should be looking at?

Thanks, Bill

Sounds like low voltage to me.

Bad ground?

Sounds like a bad ground or poor tune for cold weather, Check/clean your grounds, Fix your voltage issue, Then start checking everything else

I had the voltage regulator replaced and the car now runs mid 14s A/F with the lights off and mid 13s A/F with the lights on. It is an improvement, but not optimal. On the test set, the voltage drops slightly when the lights come on.

I am guessing that the stock DME was less sensative to voltage compared to the Mafterburner.

Since I have other cars to drive, the 951 will only be going out in the daytime.
