Default Anyone have all the factory under tray stuff?

Rules have changed in my time trial class and I may have to stop running my front splitter.

Unfortunately my car didn't come with any of the factory front under belly tray stuff, so I'll need everything. That's all the plastic bits, retainers, screws, bolts, etc, etc, etc.

Anyone have it? Gotta be in good shape!

What class is that? In which governing body? - NASA, SCCA, or random Time attack style group?

NASA has changed the way time trials group TTA-TTU, from a points for mods based arrangement to a power to weight arrangement. However, in the group I'm shooting for, non factory aero will cost you a 1/2 point power to weight penalty.

My tiny little front splitter will cost me over 30rwhp, it's just not worth that to run it, but I don't have any of the factory stuff.

It's either that or I jump up a group but I'll get my butt kicked by the cars in that group...

Get a bigger splitter and take the 30hp loss... Handling > Power

I have a spare aluminum piece that goes behind the subframe... of course it's kind of the size to go around a Porsche oil pan.

Not sure if it is any help but I got the 2 bits that go under the engine brand new from germany ie OEM via my local Porsche Centre. They looked brand new too not like a part that had been sitting for 25 years. My batwing was a used one.

No there is another one that connects those two pieces.

Yes, Doc gets first try... No arguments here.

There is? Do you have pics? I've only seen the batwing (Turbo only), the standard under tray on all the 944s, and then the piece Van pictured, behind the oil pan. None of them "connect" though

You need this bit (this is view from top)

This bit actually can be bolted to aluminium bit via the 2 outside tabs(using bolts and loc nuts) so when removing they come off in one piece.

Here is a pic of them on the car

and another pic

Yes, Cyberpunky has it correct - the aluminum part attaches to the plastic part - and you remove them together as a pair. The plastic piece has 3 bolts that attach to the lower radiator frame (accessible through the holes in the batwing), 5 bolts (IIR) that bolt to the sub frame, and two nuts that hold those little arms on the aluminum piece to the side of the wheel wells (you'll find M6 studs attached to the body there).

You take off the hardware I mentioned above (the batwing will hold up the front and the rear is held on by those aluminum arms on the studs) kind of stand behind it, flex the arms over the studs, slide it back about 2 inches, and its off!

I think the main point of the aluminum part is really to protect the caster blocks from the heat of the crossover and down pipes.
