Default Interesting acquisition last weekend with pics

I bought this car on Sunday - 87 951 with 220k miles on it. The body isn't too bad except for some serious issues around the sunroof. I'm not sure what to do with it. I could part it and be ok but sort of would like to drive it for a bit - just bummed about the roof deal. There were some nice spares included with the car including a set of 968 mirrors, some Porsche Motorsports 997 120 AMP alternators, Comtec headgasket, new water pump, cv axle rebuild kits, lindsey vaccum line kit, 17" wheel halves, etc. Mods on the car are listed below...

K27/6
Custom maf ?? with Split Second piggeyback
Sweet large 72 row oil cooler with AN lines
Remote adjustable FPR
Catch can
Aftermarket 3" catback
LSD trans with a short shifter setup
Weltmeister rear 22mm sway - OEM front
Bilstein front and rear coilovers
Fabcar control arms
Ground control camber plates
Dynatech strut bar
Big red calipers in front on adapters
Three piece wheels made in Japan 17x8.5 and 10.5
Euro fog lights/ H4 headlights
Sparco steering wheel
OMP seat with 6 point harness on Brey Kraus harness bar
KLA subwoofer
SPA oil pressure and temp guage

I'm guessing there is a great story to that purchase. Must have been desperate if he even sold you the shirt off his back!

He used to be a crew chief with Brumos and I believe he worked with Flying Lizard as well. Getting out of the Porsche hobby to buy a house and settle down though

Somehow I picture a naked porsche fanatic walking away with a fist full of dollars while you are driving away with his car and all of his clothes

Nice car bud, if you decide to part it you have a buyer for the splitter and possibly suspension!!

Got any size comparisons for those alternators? And a pic of that big oil cooler?

I think I may have sold him that lightened flywheel ten years ago, back when I lived near Jacksonville!

The alternators are tiny! The seller told me they were very rare and cost 7k a piece new. He said they would bolt on a 997 but weren't stock. He was hoping to make an adapter so that they would work on a 44. I don't have any other pics of the oil cooler - is it tucked up under the bumper pretty well in the middle - with the splitter off it is easier to see though.

Great find. Looks like she is pretty well sorted so parting her just seems wrong.
