hey guys just wondering if a set of 944 103 101 3rarst rods are a good deal at $100? and just to be sure these are the factory forged rods correct?

come on guys i know somebody knows.
p.s. they are from a 83 NA are they as good as the turbo rods?

Yes, factory sinter forged rods, I don't know how they would compare in strength and weight compared to factory turbo rods.

thanks for the input. so is $100 a good price or should i hold out for some turbo rods?

What are you doing with them? Trying to rebuild a turbo motor? I would say 100 dollars is a fair price, depends how badly you need em.

dont need em bad just a project toy. yea rebuilding a 944 block that spun the #2 rod bearing and id like to go forged

Im cleaning the garage and attic.. Have 5 sets of these rods on hand from turbo cars. Located in Columbia ,SC brian944turbo@att.net
Don't spend much time on this forum so email works best. I'll let you have them for $100

Figure in have the rods checked for straightness, X-rayed for cracks, small ends rebushed, balanced etc and new aftermarket rods dont seem quite so expensive.

i guess you make a good point. so what about some forged magnesium rods? i was told they came from a 91 s2 race car

Sorry no idea though I always wonder what happened to the engine the rods came from. Forgot to mention new bolts /nuts and shot peining, of course you could take a chance and just fit the rods if you feel lucky.
