Before & After Picture Thread
Most of us here have fettled our 951's since purchasing. Some may have reverted from a modified back to stock, many built race cars or HP monsters & many just turned their cars into what they feel a 951 should have been. I'm in the latter group.
I thought it might be interesting to start a thread for us to show a selection of pictures from when we first got the car & where it is now after whatever modifications have been performed (not the build progress). I don't think we need to list out the modifications - most here are well educated & figure it out.
Here's my car on the day I picked it up from a classic car dealership in Lansing, MI in September of 2006. I had spent a couple of years searching nationwide to find a great, low mile Nile Green 951 - only to find it 45 miles from my house.... Turned out to be quite a special car & I don't think I'll ever tire of owning it.
And.... Here's a selection showing where it is now. These cars really benefit from from well thought out performance / suspension & brake enhancements and I really enjoyed seeing / feeling the evolution.
Post em up!

Cool idea! Beautiful car Nurburger.
Here is my contribution. Purchased my car 3 years ago for $3300. I remember thinking, I will put another $3300 into it and have a great car. Well, I spent a bit more.

Duke, Tony, and Bruce's for the biggest transformations!! Steve not far behind. George's is in there too.
Love the Nile green one though. Especially the factory panel gaps!
Guess I can show a couple. First one not dissimilar to Steve's. Slate Grey metallic. Was pretty nice when I first bought it. Sometimes I wish I'd never changed much on it at all. Then I was in a crash that wrote the car off. Sad.
Sean then spent a lot of time switching all the late model running gear onto the Black cheap and crappy '86 and we started building that up. Don't have any from the earliest stages but got a few from stages 2, 3, & 4...stage 5 happening now due to the latest accident. Hmm....seeing a pattern develop.

Well...since this one is coming back home and Tom did such a great job of taking care of her, here you go; I do have a few subtle changes in store.

Cool thread! Some crazy transformations.
In 1986 with me next to it:
Some paintwork in 2003:
968 mirrors/rear spolier painted:
After new motor
Interior
Pretty much how she sits now:
Sometimes I wish I would have left it more stock, Im currently sourcing a/c parts and am going to have the escorts re-valved this winter so its a bit more driveable..as it stands right now I hardly drive it.
