Default mounting a strut on the opposite side

Can I flip a strut around and mount it on the opposite side it was meant for? I need to replace the right side strut in my 86 and I intend to reuse the spring. Can I use a left hand side strut to replace it for a short time?

I believe you can but the brake line holder bracket will not work and the brake cooling piece wouldnt work either if it has those.

I know the brake line bracket wont work, I figure that wont be a big deal. Is there a brake cooling issue I should be concerned with? I dont think 951 struts have anything like that, could be wrong though.

Other than the attachment/mounts already mentioned, it can physically be bolted on the wrong side.
