I am very much a "to each his own" kind of guy but I guess I don't understand the appeal of changing a company's logo/coat of arms. Feels a bit like flying a US flag with red & silver stripes to me.

Not trying to pick a fight, they're your cars, do what you like with them (and goodness knows I've taken liberties with my interior), just trying to understand.?

^ i think it just matches the current theme of their cars where the gold won't flow as well, but I'm personally happy with the regular one.

yes on most colors but on a white or black as mine it offers more eye appeal also i am sure that no one here who has owned there car for some time has it 100% completly stock some might have a diff radio or rims but not one of you should judge me or any one else

Not sure how I could have been any clearer that I wasn't judging, as I said, it's your car and you should do what you want with it.

Was simply asking a question to try and understand the appeal.

Greg, Does it help that they are a Porsche part (the ones with the red inlay)? they were on I think the 50th anniversary 911's. I think it looked great on my 951, and I'm toying with they idea of throwing one on my Boxster.

I shouldn't have said anything, it's clearly a matter of personal preference and, seriously, to each his own.

Just trying to imagine a Ferrari cavallino rampante on a shield of, say, red. Or the Yankees with silver hats and a navy NY or silver stars on the Stars and Stripes...

I'll be quiet now

No worries Greg, I agree with the "to each his own" thing...

BAN HIM!!!!!

I plan to replace the hood crest with one that is powder coated the same color as my wheels. I'm still debating what I want to do with the 968 door handles. White to match the car or powder coat them to match as well.
