This was function over form. I placed them as far forward as possible to be in the low pressure zone over the front half of the hood. There's an oil cooler in the nose and a big all aluminum radiator in the stock location. Cooling is much improved and now sufficient for the LS1.

DLS, the placement of your vents is what I'm referring to. You have them situated over the heat sources i.e. turbo & headers, could you have placed them further back closer to the firewall?

I had a friend who did some cad drawings for me and i had another friend that cut out templates in ss for me that i glued on to the hood and then it took alot of grinding (my hood needed a repaint anyway)

Just went through your picture collection. Looks like you have a very nice build. Love the work you did with the block. Are you a painter? I also like the CF winglet. Did you make this piece or is a a purchased part?

No i´m not a painter, just a hobby painter
I work at a CHP (combined heat and power) as Operations & Maintenance Technician.
The CF lip is from a bmw m3 that i modified to fit.
