Seriously... Once you drive one you know. It's that good. And it makes these cars a truly reliable car..... not to mention one that's 10x more fun to drive.

The conversion is worth every penny. If you can find one that's already converted no matter the condition (as long as it's an aluminum block LSx engine), you're way farther ahead of the game money wise.

So I have been waiting and watching for you to stop screwing around and put a decent power LS conversion car together 500+rwhp

I was so close but could not figure any way short of a trans/diff transplant to keep one alive. If you would just hurry up and do it, then share I would appreciate it

The transmissions are fine as long as you run a good cooler and stay out of 1st & 2nd gears.

As far as the power goes... I'm going to have to slow mine down. It's currently at 461RWHP/400RWTQ and with the new light chassis, it's too much. There's only one class faster than what I currently run in and there are 1000RWHP 911's in that class. So a 500RWHP 2100lbs car doesn't stand a chance.

I've been enjoying this thread.

I recently acquired a street legal track car.

It had most of the go fast (enough) parts but lacks the safety equipment.

It has yet to be put on its ultimate diet, however
It already had an AC delete -- so I decided that I'd pull out most of the rest of the
engine compartment AC equipment (I was working in the area already).

I'm adding a harness bar, installing the sparco seats that came with it, and some harnesses.
I'll access things from there safety wise. addressing reliability and replacing/upgrading fuel and oil lines.

I'll live with the lack of creature comforts as it will be used 90% of the time as a drive to track car.
I might regret that on the drive to/from the track but c'est le vie. 75% of that time it will
be a 30 min drive to the track, the other 25% will be a 2.5hr drive to the track.

Eventually it will shed more weight and when I decide to attack the interior in earnest I will consider,
rollbar/cage options.

a 1000WHP LS engine will probably weigh 100-125 heavier with power adder / intercooler, meth pump & tank, etc,etc

so Ton'y new car could be what 2350 - 2400 - that's what I'm talkin about

my vette with power adder is fairly porky in the 3100lb-3200lb range I expect.
That is with all creature comforts though - AC, stereo, cruise, etc,etc
not making 1000rwhp, but the component weight would be the same

More that I was wondering what these Supa-Dupa custom 1000whp rear engine Porkies have to weigh in at? We saw one of them in a recent video of Tony's where the car shot forward down a short straight as if everyone else was in slo-mo. Surely they have to have some weight constrictions on them to run that much power? So Tony's new car is going to be very light. How much power can he run at 2100lbs +/- ?
