FWIW... in 5 years of racing a V8 951, I've broken all of 2 transmissions and a hollow Motorsport axle rated at 60 hours. There has been nothing else broken that can be attributed to the V8, and the axle was long over due.

On the other hand... I've had 0 blown head gaskets, 0 engine oil leaks, 0 powersteering leaks, no mixed oil and coolant, no scored cylinder walls, no exhaust leaks, no cracked headers, no boost issues, no detonation issues, have only used 91 pump gas (no race fuel), no water/meth injection, no a/f ratio monitoring, nothing.

My reliability rate with the LS engine has gone from <50% to over 90%.

I wish pca allowed engine swaps. When my 951 engine goes I want to throw an ls3 in it. Guess I'll have to run scca or NASA

I have had mixed reviews of LR. Mostly good but recently I ran into an issue where they were reluctant to return an item that did not fit my 951. It all worked itself out but certainly gave me pause before i buy any thing else from them.

Don't worry..... There are so many of these conversions done that no club can ignore it. All it takes is a couple 2-3 cars converted to change the rules.....

I just go straight to paragon. They have next day delivered things to me with no extra charge at all. Shipped me a few variant parts because there were some confusion. And never asked to ship it back

I talked to Traci at LR and she was very rude and still wants her $20. Atrocious service.

+1 on Paragon. Jason and Chuck take care if me well. I almost don't mind paying the 8.25% Texas sales tax.

Not defending OR shaming LR - but what did you expect?

You came on here bashing them, claiming they "lost a customer" and THEN went and asked them to forgive the $20? I think you should've done that the other way around.

I can understand if they were unresponsive and you came here trying to get some action but generally you want to save the vendor bashing for the last resort...

Why would you expect Traci to forget about the $20 when you totally based them and will never do business with them again? Personally, if it were my business, I'd give you the measly $20 and tell you to never call me again.

Sorry for your disapointment...sounds like a small series of unfortunate events. And to echo several other responses I have found LR to be a great source in MANY ways! Shipping has been quick and communication has been second to no one. I was shocked at how accessable AND patient Mike was with me especially considering how little I knew about these cars. I feel very fortunate to have them just up the road from Dallas.

I've never had an issue dealing with Traci either.

I think you'd be better off asking to talk with one of the Lindsay's in order to get this resolved.

Lindsey Racing is my last resort when looking to buy parts. If I can't find it anywhere else I go to them.

I do like their site layout more than the other vendors though...

I have bought some stuff from LR over the years and always had good luck. Mostly stock parts.

Their speed/ref sensor harness is very good.

The bolt broke with 15 ft lbs of torque. I assumed they would charge me the extra $20, like the other $183 worth of stuff on the order. Two months later they decide they made a mistake and I have to pay for it. Stop implying that I expected the part to be free, I didn't.
