im in the process of rebuilding engine. my question is, do i need to take any measurements before disassembly. a friend thought i needed to check tolerances before i send to machine shop to have checked. i have oil pan off and want to have rods checked and new rings installed. just trying to find out proper procedure. thanks again for all the help
