Default So a tree fell on my car.

The damage doesn't look horrible, except for the dents and scratches on the roof, hood, fenders, and the windshield that looks like someone launched 2 basketballs through it. It's really a shame, I just spent a boat load of money on it and it is better than ever! Well, other than the whole tree thing..

I reported it to my insurance (comprehensive coverage thankfully) and should be meeting with an adjuster shortly. Anyone have any tips or advice for the process, anything to watch out for, mention to the adjuster?

TIA
Mike

Sorry to hear that. Hope you get it back on the road soon if insurance doesn't deem it totaled.

Sorry to hear that. That happened to my old e30 6 years ago. I had just finished installing a full exhaust and a 4.10 LSD diff the night before, and I literally woke up to find a tree on top of my car... I feel your pain....

If they total it out keep all of your receipts. My friend was hit in his turbo miata and they totaled it out at like 3k. He showed them 8k in receipts and they kept the title clean.

they can always get an independent appraiser if you don't agree on the replacement value.

you can buy it back and fix it. i would get an estimate first

I hope the comp coverage covers it! Sorry to hear it! Was it YOUR tree? Folks who on the land, upon which trees are planted, are largely liable for the damage caused in a storm, or other natural act. In N.E. Fla, we see this A LOT!
