Is the clutch fork still engaged on the throw out bearing?

Mind you I’ve never dropped the motor…

Is the front suspension disconnected at the control arms or strut tower?

The motor will have to move forward about five or more inches to clear the TT drive shaft. In your photo the drive shaft is still set in the crank pilot bearing so the motor will not drop strait down.

If it is, either bolt the bell housing back to the motor or remove the clutch fork shaft.

Check the ac hose line on that side. Also check the turbo water pump hose.

Hmmm...Probably since that doesn't sound familiar. How do I remove the clutch fork (and where is it?)?

Here's the best picture I could find with a quick search. There're probably something better out there. You need to remove the little pinch bolt that holds it in place (it stick out of the bell housing with a nut acting as a lock nut) and then pull it out be screwing a bolt into it's end and yanking it out. Probably easier just to leave the BH in place and separate the torque tube from the BH though...

Well, I tried removing the bolt that holds in the clutch fork shaft, and the head of the bolt broke off (see pic).

If I just unbolt the four bolts that hold the torque tube to the bell housing, they will come apart??? Sounds too easy...

Hmmm... You should be able to just unscrew that broken bolt. Double nut it to get a good grip or just squeeze it with vice grips.

Yes, it's that easy -- if you undo the 4 bolts holding the torque tube to the bell housing, they will separate. The TT can't go back unless you remove the tranny, however, so you will have to pull the motor forward and off the driveshaft. That means you'll need space to get it all out (removing radiator helps). Be sure to remove the slave cylinder, starter, clutch feed line sprap, battery strap and anything else bolted to the bell housing before pulling motor with it attached.
