Anti Wheel Hop kit

Anti Wheel Hop kit
Has anyone been able to complete eliminate wheel hop? Supposedly Pontiac GTO's suffer from excessive wheel hop. There are a lot of suspension kits and what not out there that are supposed to eliminate it, but they don't completely. I just read a few reviews for these anti wheel hope axles and thought maybe they could be used on our cars? Obviously not these same exact ones but a kit similar to these.

Are you drag racing it??
I have not had wheel hop.... It just smokes the crap out of tires if I get a lil skinny pedal happy...
I though that getting a better trans mount helps ... or someone here made a "kit" of some sort that help to prevent wheel hop and the trans fron moving around as much.....

Snake oil, I say!
Is it being implied that the half-shafts twist like a torsional spring? I'd have to think the drive shaft (which is a lot longer and about the same diameter) would do the twisting - if any is occurring.

I wasn't sure if it was true or not, but GTO guys who have this kit swear by it. They have next to 0 wheel hop after doing it. It sounded like a cool idea to me.

So, it might work for a GTO, but it may not be what a 951 needs.
(But, what do I know... I though wheel hop only happened on cars with solid rear axles...)

I had it once. Not from taking off hard, but when it slowly began to break traction in the middle of 2nd gear.
I changed the tires, the problem disappeared.
And if you're dumping the clutch to race some ricer at a stop light, wait until you see the price of a tow truck and the transaxle. If youre going to street race, race from a second or third gear roll. Not too many cars can keep up with a modified 951 on the highway, and it will keep you from scattering pieces under the car.
