Finished the car at 11:00 on Friday and on track Saturday. Gingerman Raceway, South Haven Michigan which is a nice safe place to test. I was accompanied by Stephen Cramer (rennlist - eniac) who worked his butt off to help get ready, load and support me at the track with no sleep. Fabrication master Mitch Marchi was also in attendance late night at my shop finishing up the bits including the new air ducting to the radiator.
After a few minor issues we got in 5 good sessions including one rain session which is always valuable, even with an essentially new car.
We revised settings slightly from last year, raising the car nearly 3/4" which improves the geometry (I think we were running too low last year).
A number of issues were discovered that were minor in nature to be resolved this week in preparation for more track work and the racing.
Sorry no video, my camera was mounted sideways!
Oh....by the way.....it ran beautifully. I never exceeded 6,000 rpm running Joe Gibbs break in but it was easy to drive and very quick.
I am still getting used to the brakes, changed my heal and toe method a bit but the system worked great and improved feel vastly over my boosted system.

Congrats Jim. Car looks fantastic - you should bring it down to Nelson for the 944Fest to tune your shocks for bumpier tracks!
On a side note - what rear wing is that?

your car must be just fantastic all the way around. Having spent time in a number of CTS-V's (my current demo has 4700 miles...all mine) I know that engine to be docile as can be around town yet the pull is steady when the pedal is mashed. Then add in the lightweight 951 combined with small frontal area, man that thing must gather speed FAST!
The V kills my 951 0 to whatever...however my butt dyno says the 951 collects speed quicker at higher speeds. "If" this is true I figure weight and frontal area make the difference. (LR53, 17psi, etc. for mine). I can only imagine with that 556HP stump puller.
Well done sir!
