Default Front caliper question? Help Please!!

OK so here it is i know for fact i need a wheel bearing badly he wheel has allot of play. As i drive i hear the break grinding up against the pads but wen i took them off to change them they had more then half life my caliper is grinded on the rotor. So here is my question is the wheel bearing causing enough wheel shake for the wheel to be on a tilt and have the rotor grind the caliper?

If your bearings are such a bad shape you can surely feel it. Why don't you just change the bearings, it's about ½ an hour job to do. No special tools required.

I dont see how the wheel could grind on the caliper, as you say; regardless of the shape of the bearings. They are mounted in such a manner that I think you would be having other serious issues long before you had to worry about caliper-rotor contact. Just change the bearing, it isnt hard.

Yes, it's possible and probably the cause of your issues. Change your bearing asap....

The disk is attached to the wheel, the caliper is attached to the front suspension. As the wheel/rotor wobbles around due to a bad bearing, it hits up against the pads and wears the rotor. I am surprised you couldn't fell it pulling on the wheel. It can get so bad that it can lock up the entire wheel.
