Default what hubs are these?

This is a 1986 Turbo that I recently bought. It has 911 rims and looks like the front hubs have been altered in some way to get to the later offset. Are these only spacers or has something else been done?

Reason I ask is I need new bearings and am wondering which year bearings to use.

Thanks
Ashok

Those look like 86' hubs because its an early offset. Spacers are needed to fit late offset wheels on 86' cars. 87' started late offset hubs. Do you have spacers in the rear as well?

You do realize that's not going to get you a discount down the road, right?

thanks guys. I will use the 86 bearings.

So you think that is only a spacer there? Reason I ask is the cap for the hub is flush with the spacer.

There is no spacer in your pictures, just the stock early offset hubs...

Late offset hubs mount the rotor in front of the hub (to the outside, makes changing rotors a breeze), the early offset hubs have to be removed to change the rotors...

To measure the hub you need to remove the rotor, these are hubs for abs late cars

There is a 4 degree camber difference between 86T and 87T spindles as well at the strut interface.

Wasn't thinking, thats an old picture, at least it shows the difference between the two brake setups.
And yes there is a ~4 degree difference in camber with the 87+.

How much O.D. of the hub did the P.O. remove?

Thanks for the help. Supposedly these are 911 rims on there. I thought the offset would be no good for a 1986 without some kind of conversion?

Did you look to see if the strut/spindle top hole was modded or if later control arms were installed?
